Issue 8.2

Repairing Code, Craft, and Computation

My architecture and computational design work examines craft and embodied practices, technological practices, and their intersections with society. It engages critical approaches to computation, lightweight structures, heritage, and artificial intelligence in design. My work explores questions around the erasure of specific knowledge, histories, and communities, the omission of certain discourses in computing, and our changing practices due to global, societal, and technological shifts. The projects use computational, artistic, architectural, and ethnographic modes of inquiry to develop new frameworks, tools, and expressions that inform our field’s theories, practices, and pedagogies.
